ABOUT
Galleria Continua was founded in 1990 by Mario Cristiani, Lorenzo Fiaschi and Maurizio Rigillo with the intention, evident in the name, to give continuity to contemporary art in a landscape rich with the signs of ancient art. The gallery seeks to act a bridge between past and present, looking for connections between current Italian research and the language of the international circuit, by bringing international artists into Italy and by helping and promoting young italian artists abroad. In 2015, Galleria Continua established Arte CONTINUA Habana in Aguila de Oro, a cinema theater from the ‘50s at the heart of Havana’s Chinatown. "Our goal in this project in Cuba is to encourage humanity to travel, not just art. We want artists to come to Cuba from around the world to "breathe the air", talk to people and understand the country. To experience life and undertake projects that pass through an experience. We also want this to be an opportunity for Cuban artists to show their work outside the country. Travelling, visiting other places and meeting other cultures is sure to be a tremendous source of enrichment for all those involved" Lorenzo, Mario e Maurizio (Galleria Continua Founders). - Galleria Continua
