Tsubaki & Ototo

A sake bar (Ototo) and a more formal restaurant (Tsubaki) next to each other, both run by Chef Charles Namba and Courtney Kaplan. They each offer a warm, calm atmosphere and clean, tasty Japanese cooking inspired by the food that Charles ate as a child. Tsubaki - the izakaya - has amazing seafood and vegetables, and a mouth-watering short rib dish that's sometimes on the menu, sometimes not.
