ABOUT
Beatriz Sala Santacana is a Cuban contemporary artist currently living in Havana. In 2014 she opened The Estudio Taller Santacana, located at a two-story house that is in total harmony with the art that it exhibits. After an arduous renovation that lasted for a year and a half, its architecture and ambiance are an organic extension of the same creative spirit, whose presence can be felt in the combination of textures and colors, the open spaces, the natural light, the nobility of the woodwork and the freedom of its ample doors and windows. - The Estudio Taller Santacana "I remember with excitement, in my first years of school, when the teacher gave each kid in the classroom a small wooden board with a big ball of white modeling clay on it. There were no colors nor tools. Only the ball of white clay, the board, fingers, and imagination" - Beatriz Sala, Santacana
