ABOUT
A Hug From The Art World invited Clark to show to celebrate his recent relocation from Melbourne, Australia to New York City and there is no doubt the exhibition’s subject and title, At The Carlyle, both were informed by the move. Clark continues his exploration into the iconography of insignia. In the past he may have tackled multiple symbols of the city he occupies, visiting any number of cultural institutions from ball parks and theaters to movie houses and burger joints, yet for the occasion of this exhibition, Clark shifts his attention to a singular subject, the iconic venue of The Carlyle Hotel.
