At long last the space that was once Highline Ballroom has been taken over and given a little revamp and has now thrown open its doors to the public as Racket. The couch and table filled lounge areas have been cleared to create more space for catching live music and the quality of booking is assured thanks to the venue being under the steer of the bookers at Bowery Presents. To this end established indie rockers Real Estate played the launch show, setting the tone for the indie leaning up-and-comers in the calendar moving forward. This part of town definitely needed a space like this!
