Atmospheric Lounge in The Freehand Hotel
Bar Calico
Bar Calico is a moodily lit lounge located in the ever buzzy Freehand Hotel, with historical detailing and stylistic influence courtesy of the postwar American Southwest. A menu of craft cocktails playfully references the great feminist artist Georgie O’Keefe, but the overall atmosphere is one of sophistication and cool, contemporary elegance.

ABOUT
In 1931, Georgia O'Keeffe created a painting called Cow’s Skull with Calico Roses. It represented the stark elegance of life as she experienced it through her years in the New Mexican alpine desert. Bar Calico takes its name from this painting, and its flavors from the bold and arid landscapes she was immersed in.
