'Sip' finds Shingo Gokan of acclaimed Tokyo Bar SG Club bringing his skills to NYC, in an elegant, moodily lit subterranean space. Expect masterful tipples using ingredients like wasabi, Wagyu beef, and Sichuan peppercorn. 'Guzzle' boasts exposed brick and pressed tin ceilings, with Employees Only’s Steve Schneider working his magic on classic cocktail updates like the Apple Manhattan and Pecan Old Fashioned. Former Alinea chef Mike Bagale lords over a tightly curated Izakaya menu, including hand rolls and “electric chicken”.
