French Legend Beautifully Reborn

Le Veau d'Or
POV
Le Veau d’Or, an NYC institution, dating back to1937 has been re-born. Following a brief closure period, chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr of Frenchette have brought it back to life. The classic decor with its patterned floors, dark wood-paneling and checked tablecloths make the dining room feel airlfited from Paris’ 7eme arrondissement. Dinner is prix-fixe only, boasting time-honored dishes like Saucisson Chaud, Grenouilles Sautees Meuniere Ou Provencale and Rognons De Veau Dijonnaise. The 100-bottle wine list is, bien sûr, all French - and a there’s a gorgeous four-seat aperitif bar.
