A Modern and Playful Interpretation of Classics
Acquavella Galleries
Tom Sachs’ new series of works find the artist continuing his exploration of classic art in the spirit and wit of Marcel Duchamp via readymades sculptures. In ‘Bronze’, Sachs refreshingly interprets sculptures by Picasso and Brancusi and uses everyday materials and new technologies to translate iconic works by the two legendary artists. The sculptures feel both modern and classic and the works on paper perfectly complement them.
