Gitano’s new home at the Seaport’s buzzy Pier 17 dazzles with lush greenery, 30 ft. ceilings, dramatic chandeliers and gorgeously patterned floors, making it feel more like an exotic Yucatan luxury resort. Though the though giant disco ball in The Jungle Room reminds that you’re definitely in Gotham. The menu isn’t quite as transporting, but dishes like Arctic Char w/ Mexican Sake and Truffle Tlayuda w/ Chihuahua Cheese feel properly culturally immersive. Sipping a signature Jungle Fever cocktail whilst taking in the Brooklyn Bridge / East River views is an NYC spring/summer must.
