The Shed is a cultural center in Hudson Yards, commissioning producing, and presenting a wide range of activities in performing arts, visual arts, and pop culture.

The Shed

As you crawl around the gigantic 95-foot web, percussive music causes it to vibrate, giving you a sense of a spider's lived experience. You can lie in place, just vibing, for eight minutes.

But there's much more to the exhibit: Floating sculptures, glass cases filled with Saraceno's trademark webs, and a room blanketed from floor to ceiling with used plastic bags.

The artist's intent, according to the gallery: "To propose a conversation between human and nonhuman lifeforms" and "call for environmental justice."
