Bar Lis is a bit of classic St Tropez glamour in Southern California. Plush furnishings, exotic palm fronds and old B&W photos create a very 1960s/70s, Brigitte Bardot/Jane Birkin sort of aura - the latter even has a cocktail named for her. Located atop the Thompson Hollywood hotel, it's always abuzz.
