ABOUT
This former Ukrainian social club still boasts its Soviet-themed decor, but it now draws creative types who like the low-key boho vibe. There's free entertainment almost every night at 7pm, thanks to KGB's excellent, eclectic reading series covering various genres. Admission is free, drinks are cheap and strong, and the level of excellence is such that KGB has been named best literary venue in New York City by New York Magazine, the Village Voice, and everyone else who bestows these awards of recognition. - KGB Bar
