An Expansive Dialogue Between Nature, Art & Sound
Kurimanzutto
CORRESPONDENCES is a compelling collaboration between Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith, now presented for the first time in a gallery space. The work transforms field recordings by Soundwalk Collective's founder Stephan Crasneanscki from remote, historically significant locations into immersive soundscapes that capture the "sonic memory" of place. Patti Smith’s poetry responds to these sounds, linking nature, history, and art, while questioning the relationship between sound and image. The result is a powerful, multidimensional dialogue that challenges our perceptions of both media.
