Henry Taylor is renowned for his portraits and for this first Hauser & Wirth solo exhibition, he embraced new techniques to present a series of delicate and moving series of etchings and hand-painted monoprints. ‘We came for kenny’ and ‘Mommy Dearest’ have a rough-hewn quality while the ‘I Love Looking at You’ bouquet of flowers has a visual vibrancy/color palette that delightfully recalls Paul Gaugin.
